Cooking, for me, is way more than just, “cooking food because eating is necessary for survival.”
I genuinely love to cook! It’s therapeutic for me & it’s how I show love for the people I am serving.
With that being said, I enjoy eating too! Food should be an experience for the senses. It should look & taste delicious, while being nourishing for our bodies. Which is why my recipes are gluten free, dairy free & egg free. Back in 2021, I started seeing a functional medicine doctor who specializes in Hypothyroidism. I was diagnosed years ago, but only recently found out I additionally have Hashimoto’s (an autoimmune disorder affecting the thyroid gland). After working with my doctor, we decided eliminating gluten, dairy & eggs would be a good option for me.
Luckily, this transition was not a difficult one, as I have two daughters who eat a vegan lifestyle. I have been cooking for several years with dairy & egg modifications. I know that many others also have food intolerances & I’m happy to know my recipes help them as well!
