Spooky Dairy Free Halloween Bark.

Halloween candy isn’t a “no no” any longer if you are dairy free! I created this delicious dairy free Spooky Halloween Bark just for us. It takes only minutes to make and is the perfect combination of sweet and salty!

I’ve always loved making chocolate bark. All kinds, sometimes with nuts, dried fruit, pretzels, you name it! Since becoming dairy free, white chocolate has been tougher to find. Until I stumbled across Walmart’s “Great Value Organic White Baking Chips”. Of all companies and all places, I found dairy free white chocolate at Walmart! I use them in many of my Christmas recipes and now for this festive Halloween bark.

White Chocolate spread onto parchment paper to make chocolate bark.

I like to melt my chocolate over the stove! It’s easier to control the temperature over the stove, versus melting it in the microwave.

If you want to melt any chocolate over the stove, you will need a sauce pan filled with only a couple inches of water. Along with a larger bowl that will fit over the pot (but make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water that will eventually be boiling.)

Heat the sauce pan over a medium-high heat and place the bowl on top securely. Pour one full bag of white chocolate chips and start stirring them with a silicone spatula. Keep your eye on the melting chocolate so it doesn’t burn. Place a sheet of parchment paper over the top of a baking sheet and set aside.

Once the white chocolate is fully melted you can pour it onto the parchment paper and smooth with a silicone spatula into a thin layer. Start sprinkling your desired toppings over the melted white chocolate (I listed what I used in my recipe below). Then let the baking sheet cool in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. The Halloween bark will be hardened and ready to break into pieces.

You can store the pieces in an airtight container until you're ready to enjoy. This is such a fun recipe to make for a Halloween party. To give away in little treat bags to friends/neighbors or keep all for yourself!

Many Hugs,

Cathleen
